Objectives List the safety measures for using hand saw on a quiz with 100% accuracy. Identify various types of handsaws with on a PowerPoint quiz 100% accuracy. Determine the proper use for the handsaws on a PowerPoint Quiz with 80% accuracy. Demonstrate the proper technique of using handsaws in a lab activity with 100% accuracy.

Reasons to Learn Why is it important to know the different types and uses of handsaws? Why would you ever use a hand saw?

Questions to Answer What are some safety concerns when using handsaws? What are the different types of hand saws? What are the different uses for these saws? What is the proper way to use hand saws?

Types of Saws and Use Crosscut saw Rip saw Used for cutting wood against the grain Rip saw Used for cutting wood parallel to the grain
