WHAT IS AN ADVERB? Adverbs describe/modify verbs. EXAMPLES: Jose was quietly going out the door. Glendale was torn down slowly. Tony spoke slowly. Katie jumped high.

JUST EXACTLY WHAT DOES AN ADJECTIVE AND ADVERB DO? An adverb tells us when,where,and how about verbs, adjectives and even other adverbs An adjective describes a noun or pronoun by telling which one, what kind or how many
