Majority of clubs in Leeds & other partners LAN Structure We are developing the structure of the LAN by recruiting a volunteer coordinator and a schools coordinator to delegate some of the network tasks and through this develop a strong LAN management team post year 3 Capacity We are qualifying more coaches and leaders which will increase the capacity of clubs and thus LAN activities Partnerships We are partnership working with Run England and working on a targeted business project which will raise our profile with businesses in Leeds. In general partnership working with businesses can bring many benefits such as sharing agendas on getting more people/employees active, potential sponsorship through as part of their CSR etc which will all help to sustain activities and develop our clubs. We are partnership working with volunteer organisations to source volunteers for the LAN activities/projects One of the outcomes of the schools projects is for athletics to be embedded in Leeds schools’ sport programmes and the local clubs to have strong schools club links after year 3 as a result of the LAN providing funded coaching sessions delivered by the clubs to successfully bidded schools in year 2 and subsidized sessions delivered by the clubs to successfully bidded schools in year 3. Linking with Leeds City wide culture programmes we are plan to recruit new athletes into clubs/ community sessions and in turn clubs will increase club membership funds External funding We are focused on bringing in funds from several funding pots, those identified currently are Sportivate, Sport England Small Grants, CE Electric funding, Run England membership initiate. Tutors We are upskilling our own LAN tutors for workshops and clinics to deliver courses in the future Our specialised coaching sessions aim to be self-funded post year 3 We plan to make income from charging for courses and workshops.
