3 WHAT IS S-FACTOR ACADEMY
WHAT IS S-FACTOR ACADEMY? We are a volunteer-led, fully inclusive athletics club Why ‘Academy’? Mission: To inspire and encourage young people from London communities to develop their life skills and full potential through athletics. Method: * Competition opportunities * Volunteering opportunities * Coordination of ongoing opportunities for young people to continue to train as well as to develop key life skills * Wider opportunities for education, training and employment * Access to mentoring and positive role models * Monitoring and evaluation/independent research to ascertain effectiveness

Transitions to intermediate sessions Intermediates - ages (dependent on ability) Seniors – ages 14 + Aiming for every senior athlete to gain a minimum of County Standards. Winter Training Structuring Warm Weather Training

11  Inclusive Sessions Attendance #’s 95 unique participants to date
5 years old as of 2018 – PAN disability athletics Lead coach/disability coordinator/guider runner/social media - Adam Thomas Assistant coaches - Rhona, Niki, Vicky & Sneka Disabled young leaders - Dean, Samuel N, Eva, Evon, Steven, Samuel G & Jason Athlete reward scheme – 6 sessions = reward Para Athletics equipment: Racing wheelchairs (5), RaceRunner (1) & Seated throwing frame (1) + sensory/audible equipment. Summer camp established in 2017 – part of team personal best tied into 2017 world champs (Funded by fusion) + GB Para Athlete visits x2 (Vanessa Wallace/Sam Rudduck) England Athletics Mental health ambassador (AT) England Athletics ambassador club for disability athletics. Funding, equipment, training & coach visits. Community outreach - Brent Knoll, Drumbeat school and 6th form, Kaleidoscope, SELVis, LeSoCo & George Greens. Competitions – Little half, mini marathon & Para Athletics @ LYG since 2015, club champs Events: Sport relief, red nose day, easter, 5th birthday, Attendance #’s 95 unique participants to date (Saturday 11-12pm sessions) Throughput figures - the count of the total number of 'attendances': 2014 – 144 2015 – 324 2016 – 439 2017 – 610 77 Unique 2017 Summer camp Set to run another summer camp in 2018 Funding #’s England Athletics - £500 para inspiration days, £300 marketing, £300 flying coach visits (2017/18) Access Sport - £2k over 3 years ( ) Fundraising - £880 #Amazing Annie (2016)

12 CLUB FINANCES Our accounts year starts from 1st September till 30th August every year (coincide with academic year) Access to online banking, and to make the financial transactions and recording more up to date 2017/2018 has been a better financial year than the previous so far as we still have a few more months to go.  Track fees has increased from 46% of our income to 56% this year (more athletes attending and new attendees)  Donations/fundraising has increased 8%  Grants has decreased 27% from last year (We are currently looking into extra funding)  Decrease in spending on the following, which contributed to a better financial year;  Uniform costs from 23% to 11%  England athletics courses from 8% to 3%  Warm weather training from 24% to 20% We had an added expense of the awards evening which was 23% of our expenses this included the offset of costs of tickets, but proved to be a successful event Hall hire was up 4% this year due to increase in hall fees Affiliations has increased due to more athletes joining but they are still being collected and finalised.
