8th Grade Social Studies Painted Learning Target Reflections

LT Reflection Expectations When you MASTER the LT: 1) Use complete sentences 2) Include 1 new Word Wall vocabulary term. 3) Reflect on entire LT When you MISS the LT: 1) Explain clearly why you missed it. 2) Ask a clarifying question Reflections that meet these expectations earn a sticker!

No Sticker? Check The FEEDBACK! If I write… … you need to: Re-write on a sticky note in complete sentences. Add what is missing (highlighted) on a sticky note. Add/re-write another sentence with a vocabulary word on a sticky note. Answer the question on a sticky note. Use complete sentences Reflect on entire LT Vocb A question

NEVER ERASE A REFLECTION!

What about the other comments? For right now, I am only requiring you to complete the YELLOW reflection in the painted (informative) writing structure. Over time, you will be expected to support your reflections with BLUE evidence (details, examples, text citations) and provide GREEN synthesis (explain how it all connects to the LT). These comments are preparing you for additional expectations that are to come! BOTTOM LINE: If you have a sticker, you don’t need to make changes to your reflection. If you don’t, check the feedback.
