EQ: What does it mean to closely read a text?

Review to ensure completeness Using your handout, answer the Guiding Question: “What information or ideas does this text present?” Group Discussion With your partner connect with another pair to decide what details you found and highlight the ones you see as important. Explain in the 2nd column why these details are important. Then, as a group, recreate your chart (on chart paper) using only the details you decided where important. At the bottom of the chart, use details and paraphrasing to explain something you have learned from the video. Each person in the group must complete an individual paraphrased sentence.
