AGENDA Copy Video Questions (page 93) Video – Greatest Discoveries with Bill Nye: Genetics Video Reflection ‘One Pager’ HW finish One Pager

VIDEO QUESTIONS Copy the following question in your ILL on page 93 or on a blank sheet of notebook paper. Be sure to skip a few lines for your answers. You may use the front and back of the page. What are some important discoveries in genetics? What is the structure and function of DNA? Where is DNA located? Why are some traits passed from parent to offspring? What are the responsibilities of genes? What are transposons? As you watch the video, answer the video questions. You can raise your hand if you need Mrs. Carman to pause the video.

What do you think will be some future applications of genetics? AFTER THE VIDEO Create a ‘One Pager’ that answers the following question: What do you think will be some future applications of genetics? A one-pager is written and visual; it connects words and images. Include a main idea and write it on the page. Use drawings related to the main idea to create a visual focus. Ask a question or two and answer them. Create the one-pager so that your audience will understand something about the video from what you create. See examples on next slide!
