What options are available within the field? Some fields are biomedical and engineering, fluid mechanics/ combustion and the environment, ground vehicle systems, heat transfer, and energy systems, manufacturing, mechanical design, system dynamics and control.

Well known person George Stephenson was an English Civil engineer and a mechanical engineer. Renowned as the “Father of railroads,” Stephenson was considered by the Victorians a great example of diligent application and thirst for improvement.

My reaction to what I learned I still would like to become a mechanical engineer, but I’m surprised that you only need a bachelor’s degree and a professional engineer license to get the job. Overall, I think this is the job for me when I get older.
