Description of the Career What do people in this career do every day? Perform surgery on the brain and spinal cord. Detect diseases people may have in the brain.

Skills What skills are needed in that career? Skills needed to be a Brain Surgeon: Hand-eye coordination Excellent vision Organizational skills Communication skills

Education What type of education do you need? College? Trade School? To be a brain surgeon, you must earn a medical degree and get neurosurgical training.

Salary How much will you earn working in your chosen profession? The median salary for a brain surgeon in 2016 was $559,255.

Why did you choose this career? Is this a good career for you? I chose this career because brain surgeons have a very important job of saving people’s lives. Becoming a brain surgeon is a good career for me because I want to learn about the human brain and how it functions. I also like helping people with their medical issues and if something is wrong I want to fix it.
