Quick Map Draw an outline of the North American map on a blank sheet of paper. The outline map must include: A compass rose to your map, showing where north, south, east, and west are. two large bodies of water that are NOT oceans a mountain range a large river the political boundaries of the two countries in this region political boundaries for any states, provinces, or territories you think that you may know

Learning Goal Students will understand the major cultural regions within the United States and locate the states and capitals within those regions. Students will be able to locate on a world map the United States, its territories and protectorates. Common Core Students will be able to integrate visual information (e.g. in charts, graphs, photographs, videos, or maps) with other information in print and digital texts.

Person # 3 from each group grab (4) four textbooks for your group
