2 possible career paths By Ashley Fleming

Path #1 Veterinarian

Description A veterinarian in Canada is a doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM), a professional in animal health care who has completed a university degree at a veterinary college. It typically takes 4 years to finish a DVM degree. Veterinarians may also choose to continue their studies after their graduations to become specialized in areas such as surgery, dentistry, cardiology or other fields

Requirements You need to go to veterinarian school for 4 years to get your DMV degree To practice veterinary medicine, students must obtain a licence by passing the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE). Graduates with a DVM degree are employed in many areas: private clinics, research, shelter medicine, public policy, global veterinary medicine and others If you want to specialize in a field such as surgery, dentistry or medicine more schooling is required

Suitability I believe I would fit in perfectly in this career I have dreamt about being a vet for as long as I can remember and my love for animals will just set fuel to the fire

Path #2 physiotherapist

Description Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.  They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease. The profession helps to encourage development and facilitate recovery, enabling people to stay in work while helping them to remain independent for as long as possible.

Requirements The minimum requirement for a person to become a psychotherapist is to have a master’s degree in clinical psychology, clinical social work or counseling. Some states may also ask for a PhD. In the same field. Master’s and doctoral level degree programs also include 2 years of clinical experience. Candidates must pass the examination for professional practice in psychology

Suitability I think I would be right for this job because I have always been interested in how the body works, and I love to interact with people, and if I go into this field I would want to work with athletes because I am one myself and am interested in helping them
