BIOMASS as a new choice of energy by: London Tubbs definition: organic matter being used as fuel Benefits It is renewable Items used to produce this  Are abundant (because our Society produces waste, wood, and manure) Less garbage in landfills  Disadvantages Biomass still releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere It's not as efficient as fossil fuels

U.S. usage compared to the other energy that it used Biomass is about half the amount of renewable energy used in one year. Biomass includes all the following:  waste, biofuels, and wood.

World primary energy use Biomass would mostly be used when powering cars because it can be converted into liquid biofuels such as biodiesel. It is used mostly in America, Sweden, and Austria.

Its best use is when the river flows from high to low ground, a stable, but fast flowing river, and no significant impact on wildlife. it needs a large reservoir, low environmental impacts, Hydropower is a form of renewable energy that’s obtains energy from the flow of rivers, which turns turbines to create electricity.

What is tidal energy? Tidal energy is a form of hydropower that converts energy from tides into various forms of power. It has great potential to be used for electrical generation someday. World Usage

When is tidal energy the best choice? Tidal energy can replace a lot of nonrenewable resources in the future. Unlike coal and other resources, tidal energy does not cause pollution. It is even more effective than other natural resources like solar and wind.

US vs. Global Usage of Solar Energy The US used an average amount of solar energy based on the graph. The US, as of 2013, had installed about 10000 solar photovoltaics. Although Germany, Japan, Italy, and China installed more photovoltaics, the US still had a hefty amount.

Circumstances where Solar Power is the Best Option --- Powering schools --- for people seeking a cleaner power source --- for those who can't afford to pay the electric bill, it would, in the long-    run, be a better investment despite the initial cost

Benefits and Disadvantages Benefits include; An unlimited, free, renewable source of energy. It has the ability to free the US from using up so much fossil fuels if we were to make the switch Finally, it’s a clean and nonpolluting way of kinetic energy, also doesn’t require much land to build upon. Disadvantages include; Some people are afraid of the effects wind turbines will have on the scenery (Perfectionist.) Wildlife are quite dangerous to flying animals, like birds and bats have been hit by the blades. Finally, the noise it makes, people complain about the noise a turbine gives off. This could be easily avoided though by just making them quieter.

Circumstances For The Best If we as the United States were to completely run out of fossil fuels, there would be no other choice than to get a new source of energy, income wind. Another would be if you were to be on a farm with a wide range stretching quite a few acres. The last would be to be in a place where wind is apparent, like Chicago. We could use the abundant wind rather than let it waste.

Hydrogen Pros and Cons Pros: Creates no emissions aside from water vapor. Renewable and abundant, just difficult to make. Completely non-toxic. Cons: The process of creating hydrogen takes more energy than the hydrogen releases itself. It is flammable and difficult to store, as it must be cooled to be stored.

Situations to Use Hydrogen Fuel-cell cars run on hydrogen, but this technology is underused as few cars are in existence, and so few companies make fueling ports. Fuel-cell cars also drive longer on single fuels and fuel-cells don't wear out like traditional batteries. Also, lithium isn't required to make fuel-cells.
