Project SOCIAL CRAFTS The purpose of the project SOCIAL CRAFTS consists in experimenting a model for training and job start, that should be able to reintegrate weak categories in the society and in the labour market, according to their specific skills, which become resource to be valued. With this project, we aim to reduce the distance between the disadvantaged person and the labour market. The disadvantage, is, indeed, considered a “resource”. The disadvantaged people will be introduced in a productive process, in the sector of high quality and artistical handicratft.

C.I.P. EQUAL II - Project SOCIAL CRAFTS Expected results The final results will consist in researching, testing and applying productive methodologies able to start-up artisanal and artistical activities thanks to which the disadvantaged people will have the possibility to value their abilities. They will participate to specific pathways, developed for the purpose, which will also guarantee an economic revenue. C.I.P. EQUAL II - Project SOCIAL CRAFTS

C.I.P. EQUAL II - Project SOCIAL CRAFTS The project partners GROUP OF LOCAL ACTION FROM CAPO DI S. MARIA DI LEUCA S.R.L. Tricase (Le) DP Managing organization The GAL is an AGENCY FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT, working in the area of southern Salento. The GAL has carried out projetcs in the framework of the Community Initiative Programmes LEADER (1992-1996) and LEADER II (1994-2001). It is currently involved in the Programme LEADER + (2003-2008). The GAL works also in the field of VOCATIONAL TRAINING and for the valorization of the typical resources of the territory (handicraft, agro – food industry, tourism, cultural and environmental resources, etc.). Within the project SOCIAL CRAFTS the GAL will represent the A.T.I. and it will coordinate the activities for the project’s realization and of account rendering. C.I.P. The project partners Consorzio fra cooperative sociali ELPENDU’ Mola di Bari (Ba) ELPENDU’ is a consortium that associates 19 social cooperatives working in all the provinces of Puglia, and employing about 850 people. It acquired a specific and complex experience in carrying out projects in the framework of Community Initiatives at regional, multi – regional and transnational level, mainly in the social sector. In the project SOCIAL CRAFTS the Consorzio ELPENDU’ will be responsible for planning and realizing the research, for planning and experimenting the Designer Centre and for the accompainment and the job start of the target group. The project partners Agency for the Promotion of Social Cooperation (APE) Napoli The APE works in the sector of social cooperation. The services that it supplies are mostly concerned with social cooperation and entrepreneurship promotion, considered as development resources. The APE is provided by a specific know how in the field of cooperation and financial support to the social entrepreneurship. In the project SOCIAL CRAFTS, the APE will give its contribution in the training processes and in finding the occupational opportunities for the target groups. It will also take part to the planning and experimentation of the Designer Centre. C.I.P. EQUAL II - Project SOCIAL CRAFTS

The project partners Cooperativa EX LIBRIS Bari The cooperative EX LIBRIS promotes, carries out and manages different activities and services in the cultural field. It is mainly concerned with the valorization of folklore, books and filling patrimony. In the project SOCIAL CRAFTS, EX LIBRIS will give its contribution in the research, it will realize the Virtual Museum and it will take part to the planning and experimentation of the Designer Centre. C.I.P. EQUAL II - Project SOCIAL CRAFTS Transnationality The project SOCIAL CRAFTS will establish a transnational partnership that will aim at experimenting the project activities in different contexts for the realization of a common product. It will realize and experiment national activities, thanks to the exchange of experiences acquired at transnational level and to the capitalization of the acquired results within each Country. The transnational partnership will act on different levels: 1.it will develop a transnational model of enterprise aiming at the labour insertion of disadvantaged people; 2. it will design a model of productive process that will able to evaluate the level of difficulties of the working phases according to the abilities of the disadvantaged people; 3. it will design a training pathway aiming at the labour insertion of weak categories in the labour market.
