Transferring Funds

Transferring Funds To Transfer funds simply go to the “Transactions” menu and click “Transfer Funds” in the sub menu.

We will first look at the “Transfer Between Investments” option. First you must select which type of transfer you which to conduct. You are given 3 options: Transfer Between Investments – this option allows you to make transfers between selected investments. Rebalance Investments on New Allocation Percentages – this option allows you to rebalance your existing balances on funds you target. Rebalance Investments Based on Current Allocation Percentages – this option will rebalance your existing funds based on your Investment Elections.

Once you have made the selection you will need to determine if you want to transfer funds across all source or in one selected source. This drop down box will allow you to choose.

Next you will need to decide which transaction type you wish to complete: Percent to Percent, Dollar to Percent, or Dollar to Dollar. Please note you will only be permitted to sell up to 90% of your existing balance on dollar-certain sells.

Use the ‘To’ column to enter the percentages or dollar amounts for the funds you wish to transfer into. Please note this column must total 100% or the same dollar amount entered in the ‘From’ column. Once you have made your selection simply put the amount or percent you wish to sell in the box for your selected fund in the ‘From’ column. Once you are satisfied you have entered the transaction you want, you may graph the result by clicking the “Graph” button or click “Submit” to proceed. Fund Prospectuses and redemption fee notices are shown with the appropriate icons.

Once you have clicked the “Continue” button you will receive a Confirmation Number. Please keep this for your records. If you have entered your email address and selected notifications in the ‘Personal Info’ section of the site, a confirmation email will be sent to you to confirm the transaction. Once you have hit the submit button you will be shown a summary of the transaction you are requesting. If you are satisfied with the results click “Continue.”

Let’s now look at the “Rebalance Investments Based on New Allocation Percentages” option. For this option you will be selecting the percentages of targeted mutual funds for your EXISTING balance. Please note these percentages must total 100%. Once you are satisfied with the percentages you have entered, simply click “Submit” to continue or “Graph” to graph your changes. The remaining process to verify the change and receive a confirmation number is the same as the process previously described for the ‘Percent to Percent’ transaction.

The final option is to “Rebalance Investments Based on Current Allocation Percentages.” This option allows you to change your existing balances to have them match your current investment elections. You have two options: (1) To create a single “One-Time” Rebalance or (2) To create a “Recurring” rebalance on either a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis. The submission and confirmation process is the same as previously described.

This concludes the “Transferring Funds” section of our tutorial, if you have any questions please call a service representative at 801.486.3087.
