Paul is answering 2 critical questions about the most important source of our knowledge. 1. WHAT?

2600 times the Old Testament claims to be the Word of God, “Thus saith the LORD.” The New Testament has over 300 direct quotes and 1000 indirect quotes of the OT, almost all of which declare or imply it to be the Word of God. Together that is nearly 4000 claims of divine authorship! No other religion makes such a claim! ALL SCRIPTURE

IT IS THE FINAL REVELATION 2 Peter 1:20-21 “Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in the book.” Revelation 22:18-19

If the Bible wasn’t God’s Word you could take it or leave it. But, if it is THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH... We dare not treat it that way.

KNOW IT---Read it, study it, memorize it, meditate upon it. TRUST IT---Believe it, every word of God is true. DO IT---”Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”---Jesus, Matt. 28:20. WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
