Knowledge and Understanding of the World Mathematics We will exploring number facts within 10, including counting in 1s, 2s and 5s and adding and subtracting 1 and 2. We will be looking at the stories of 4 and 5, dot and finger patterns and beginning to learn about money. We will be singing lots of number songs! Literacy Our focus for our first half term will be talking and writing about ourselves. We will be writing our names, labels and lists. We will be reading and writing about traditional tales. We will be starting to learn our phonics sounds and linking them to our reading and writing. Knowledge and Understanding of the World As part of our Marvellous Me topic, we will be learning about parts of our bodies, by singing Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. We will be exploring seasons and how we have changed from being a baby to where we are now. LRB 1 Curriculum Guide Autumn Term 2018 Welsh We will be starting to use different welsh words in our daily classroom actvities and learning to answering the register and saying what we want for lunch! PE The main focus of PE this term will be moving our bodies with increasing control. We will also be learning to follow instructions and practicing throwing and catching balls. . Topic Our first topic is ‘Marvellous Me’ where we will be learning about where we live, who we live with and different parts of our bodies. We will also be looking at our senses and different animals. Religious Education Later in the term, we will be looking at the Christmas Story and why Baby Jesus is special. P.S.E. We will be looking at what is good behaviour for school and how we can be kind, looking after our friends, our school and our environment. ICT We will be learning how to use use the iPads and the computers to support our work.
