Sheryl Welch ATFWG Chair Discussion Item: Do we do an ATF Adjustment for a generator that goes off line. ISAS August 2015 Salt Lake City, UT

Definition of General Imbalance The Generation Imbalance is a Control Area Service and is applicable to generation when there is a difference between the energy generation and the actual energy generation delivered from that generation during a scheduling period.

Facts: ABC generator went off line on 6/19 @ 13:00 due to boiler leak Sink was adjusting tag when the generator came offline. First adjustment—6/19 @ 11:13 which was zeroed out for the remainder of the day Second adjustment—6/19 @ 21:54 which adjusted to zero for 6/20

Facts (Cont’d) On 6/21—RTO realized that tag was flowing and had not been adjusted to zero. RTO curtailed tag to zero @ 0331 for remainder of day. Tag flowed for HE 01-03.

Discussion Should an ATF adjustment be made if a generator goes offline?
