PROA ECVET FOR NEW QUALIFICATIONS IN THE SHIP BUILDING AND REPAIRING SECTOR

INTRODUCTION TO PROA PROJECT PROA is aimed at contributing to the "European learning space" as an answer to the challenges set by European Union strategy for the year Having qualified manpower. Among VET priorities for 2020 PROA is encouraged to use systematically the European EQF, ECVET and Europass transparency instruments to favor the mobility among the States.

INTRODUCTION TO PROA PROJECT 2 The development and recognition of what people know, understand and know how to do is essential to help satisfying the offer and demand needs in the European Labor market. It is worth promoting and improving the transference, recognition and accumulation of the people's learning results in formal, not formal and informal contexts

PROA´S BENEFICIARIES Professionals of the Sector: To demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competence. Companies/organizations: To make an effective recruitment. Competent qualification organizations: They can compare Proa Professional Profiles with NQFs.

PROA, DEVICE FOR MOBILITY IN THE EU The device will be a tool to favor the transference, recognition and capitalization of the learning results of the workers in the "ship building and repairing sector" acquired in different contexts. A device whose legitimacy lies on the implementation of EQF and ECVET principles.

PROA´S MAIN OBJECTIVE The main objective of Proa project is develop a European device, in electronic format, to favor the transference, recognition and capitalization of the "learning results" of professionals in the sector, acquired in different contexts (Formal, Non formal and Informal).

PROA´S DECISSIONS Target group: Blue collar workers and Shipyards. Work on 3-4 EQF levels We will focus on production employments 3 key employments: Welders, boilers (fitters) and pipe-fitters Blooms Taxonomy to describe Learning Outcomes

PROA´S NEXT STEPS Design the professional qualification according to EQF and ECVET guidelines Equivalences between the European ship making professional qualifications (PROA) and NQFs Develop the device. Pilot Experience
