Presentation transcript:

Tuesday 9/25/18 Notebook Entry: Think about how your group worked together to design and build your boat. What do you think went well? What do you think could have been done better?

Build a Boat Records Sheet Work together in your group and use the same roles as yesterday.  Record your design on the grid paper side view and a top view on the grid paper   labeled with measurements for length, width, height in centimeters  Complete questions 1 and 2 Discuss Advantages and Disadvantages to the Design  Record your discussion on the boat records. Use complete sentences.

Remember the Big Question What skills do scientists use to solve problems?

Science Practices: The Work of Science Plan and Carry Out Investigations I design and perform experiments to test my ideas. I decide what data to collect and how I will collect it. Analyze and Interpret Data I identify what data that can be evidence to support my ideas. I revise my ideas when the data does not support them.

Build a Boat Part 1 - Reflection Independently answer the following questions on the back of your boat records sheet. Would your boat fit through the 5cm wide opening? Why or why not? What ideas do you have your next boat design? What will you keep? What will you change? Make sure grid paper is stapled to back of boat records sheet. Turn in both when you are finished.
