Culture The main language of Pakistan is Urdu but most Pakistanis chose to speak english instead. Islam is practiced by most pakistanis. Islam governs their personal, economical, political and legal lives.  Friday is a Muslim holy day and everything is closed. During the month of Ramadan all muslims fast from dawn to dusk. Fasting includes no eating, gum chewing, drinking, or cigarette smoking. Muslims pray five times a day at dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset, and evening.  Family is the basis of the social structure (Pakistan - Language, Culture, Customs and Etiquette)
