Growth potential in the wellness space In 2016 32% of employers increased their benefit spend Health and wellness benefits were the top two categories for growth Top reason was to remain competitive in the talent marketplace* Also wanted to note that we’re seeing tremendous opportunity with on-site fitness. Now, fitness is where our roots are; it’s even part of our name. It’s now many people in the industry identify with us and especially lately it’s been a steady revenue source. According to a recent client survey we conducted, 92 percent of company HR leaders said their on-site fitness centers helped their organization stay competitive. In fact, one HR leader said, “Amenities such as our fitness center help us attract and retain top talent for our organization.” Another leader said, “Our on-site fitness center is an attractive employee perk.” Note*: Two-thirds of organizations (68%) were experiencing recruiting difficulty and skills shortages for certain types of jobs in 2016 (SHRM) Source: Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), 2017 Employee Benefits, Report Figure 1

Health and wellness expansion % of Employers Offering Well-being Programs through Specialty Firms At the same time, were seeing a steady increase in the number of employers offering well-being programs through specialty firms. The landscape is getting more and more crowded and we need to separate ourselves from the pack. Source: Mercer, National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans, 2013 - 2016

Our research Of employee non-participants feel there are cultural barriers preventing them from fully engaging with a well-being program, including employer’s lack of support to participate at work.
