Research Project@FEB: Data Work, Experiments, and Economic Analysis of “Labor Supply and Option Value” Task description During the internship, the student will work at the KU Leuven Faculty of Economics and Business (campus Leuven) and perform the following tasks: [1] Preparation of an economic experiment in which we merge survey with experimental data [2] Execution of the experiment and data analysis [3] Some literature search At the end of the internship the student writes a report and gives a presentation. Research Project@FEB - Using Google Trends to measure environmental concerns Task description Google Trends (trends.google.com) can be used to collect data on the search terms regarding environmental concerns that are used in google. The main objective to explore the possibilities and options to use Google Trends data in measuring environmental attitudes, trends and concerns in Belgium and Europe. In this research project the student will first make an overview of the type of data that are available in Google Trends that can be used to investigate this topic. Moreover, a literature overview will help to determine how these data can be used. Finally, an illustrative case will be selected for which data will be collected and statistically analyzed.
