“every Radboud graduate has a significant international learning experience as part of their studies, in order to broaden both academic and personal perspectives.” Focus is on credit-bearing study abroad periods of 3 months or longer Shorter, less traditional credit-bearing international activities will be facilitated as well: Summer or Winter Schools Short courses at universities outside NL Courses at Dutch Scientific Institutions Abroad (N(W)IB’s: Athens, Rome, Florence, Istanbul, Rabat, Caïro, St. Petersburg).

We publish a selection of Summer/Winter Schools, however we don’t have direct contact with the organizing teams. Subject (related to your degree or not) Location University Language

8 2. Apply for the programme
Find the procedure on the website of the short stay programme. If you have questions contact them directly. Meet their criteria and deadlines!  We don’t have contact with the institutions so it is up to you to get in touch with them.

9 3. Apply for a Summer Grant Faculty of Arts (Zomerbeurs)
15 Grants available: € 750,- in Europe, €1000,- outside Europe First come, first serve Requirements: You are enrolled as a student at the Faculty of Arts; You will be awarded European Credits (ECs); You have not received a Summer School grant before; You will leave in more than 2 weeks time; You have permission from the Faculty of Arts Examination Board & International Office International Office Arts checks if you meet the criteria.  Yes: Student Life decides the exact amount of the grant.  No: You won’t receive a Summer Grant.

10 3. Apply for a Summer Grant Faculty of Arts (Zomerbeurs) - procedure
and attach the following documents: A description of the programme A motivation letter Your most recent Transcript of Grades (STIP  signed and stamped) An overview of the expected costs (Dutch template (doc, 77 kB)) A signed declaration from the examination board (signed by study abroad coordinator) (Learning Agreement) In case of approval IO Arts sends your dossier to Student Life. You have to fill in the webform of Student Life. Complete the steps after your short stay programme (within 8 weeks after the end).  It is possible to receive a 75% advance payment of your grant.

Housing: included or excluded in the programme? Visa (destinations outside of the EU)  NL / EN information Insurance (health, travel, …)  NL / EN information

13 6. Things to arrange after the short stay programme
Finalize the grant application  to A copy of your flight ticket(s) to and from the destination, and/or any other proof of transportation; Copies of obtained certificates; A report of your experiences including: The content of the programme The composition and size of the group Impression of the city / country A digital photo of you at your placement; A balance sheet with the actual costs If you want to receive credit on your study programme (extra curricular), send a request to the examination board and attach: A signed Learning Agreement (by study abroad coordinator) A signed conversion form (by study abroad coordinator) A signed certificate
