Structure of the Constitution Review Activities Structure of the Constitution

Structure Review 1 Review the top portion of the assignment on p. 32 of your notebook. Discuss the 3 branches. Go over the bottom portion of the assignment with the book open.

Structure Review 2 Review class mnemonic device, p. 31. Relate the key words to the structure. Relate the key words to the mnemonic device. Take quiz. You may use pp. 95-106 in textbook. You must use an ink pen that is not red. You may not exceed 20 minutes. Turn paper face-down when finished.

Final Structure Review Work with elbow partner to answer each of these questions on p. 33: How are Articles 1-3 related? What does the order & length of these Articles say about the power that the Framers intended for each branch? Define Federalism. How do Articles 4 and 5 illustrate the principle of federalism? How does Article 7 prove the citizens of the states wanted the federal government’s power in Article 6?

Assignment Read Chapter 3.4 and complete the “Principles of the Constitution” questions for p. 34. Due tomorrow.
