When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 1) When in Our Music God Is Glorified WORDS: Fred Pratt Green, 1971 (Mk. 14:26) 68 1. When in our music God is glorified, and adoration leaves no room for pride,

it is as though the whole creation cried Alleluia!

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 2) 2. How often, making music, we have found a new dimension in the world of sound, as worship moved us to a more profound Alleluia!

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 3) 3. So has the church in liturgy and song, in faith and love, through centuries of wrong, borne witness to the truth in every tongue, Alleluia!

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 4) 4. And did not Jesus sing a psalm that night when utmost evil strove against the light? Then let us sing, for whom he won the fight: Alleluia!

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 5) 5. Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise! And may God give us faith to sing always Alleluia!

*Father’s Day Prayer For our fathers, who have given us life and love, that we may show them respect and love, we pray to the Lord…For men, though without children of their own, who, like fathers, have nurtured and cared for us, we pray to the Lord…God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things.

Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

The Good Shepherd comes that we may have life and have it abundantly. Psalm 23 (Response 2) RESPONSE 2 (Easter, Funerals, Memorial Services) The Good Shepherd comes that we may have life and have it abundantly.

R 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. R

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. R

I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 1) How Can I Keep from Singing TFWS 2212 My life flows on in endless song, above earth’s lamentation. I hear the clear, though far-off hymn that hails a new creation

No storm can shake my in-most calm while to that Rock I’m clinging, Since love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 1) Through all the tumult and the strife, I hear that music ringing. It finds and echo in my soul. How can I keep from singing?

No storm can shake my in-most calm while to that Rock I’m clinging, Since love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 1) What though my joys and comforts die? I know my Savior liveth. What though the darkness gather round? Songs in the night he giveth.

No storm can shake my in-most calm while to that Rock I’m clinging, Since love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?

When in Our Music God Is Glorified (Verse 1) The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart, a fountain ever springing! All things are mine since I am his! How can I keep from singing?

No storm can shake my in-most calm while to that Rock I’m clinging, Since love is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing?
