Hopping Through Life as a Frog                                                        

There are many different types of frogs There are many different types of frogs. They can be different colors and sizes.

However, they all go through different stages of life called… Metamorphosis

Stage 1 Frog eggs are laid in a pond. Each egg is a ball of clear jelly with a black dot. The black dot is a growing frog.

Stage 2 A tadpole hatches from each egg. It has a long tail for swimming. It’s job is to eat and grow.

Stage 3 Legs start to grow and the tail becomes shorter. Lungs are developing inside the tadpoles body.

Stage 4 The frog is grown up It does not look like a tadpole anymore. He has four legs, can hop, and eats bugs.
