1 Tadpoles and Frogs

2 Frogs are called tadpoles when they just hatch.
They seem nothing like adult frogs!

3 They are like eels.

4 A tadpole makes its home in a lake or pond.
It will eat small plants.

5 Tadpoles swim. They can’t jump.
They do not have legs.

6 Tadpoles form legs as they get big.
Then they can hop from the lake to the land.

7 They are adult frogs, and they can eat bugs!
