Regular –AR Conjugation Conjugation formula: (infinitive – ending) + new ending -AR endings -aba -ábamos -abas -abais -aba -aban Example: descansar yo descansaba nosotros descansábamos tú descansabas vosotros descansabais él descansaba ellos descansaban

Regular –ER & –IR Conjugation Conjugation formula: (infinitive – ending) + new ending -ER & -IR endings -ía -íamos -ías -íais -ía -ían Example: tener yo tenía nosotros teníamos tú tenías vosotros teníais él tenía ellos tenían

Stem-Changing & Reflexive Verbs Since the imperfect conjugation is created from the infinitive, stem-changing verbs DO NOT change when conjugated Reflexive verbs act accordingly when conjugated and use the same pronouns as in the present/preterite
