Decisions COMMISSION DECISION establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the EU Ecolabel for soil improvers, growing media and mulch Will be transmitted for scrutiny of the European Parliament and of the Council after 9 July 2015. Adoption foreseen before end of November 2015 and will be published beginning of December 2015. EU Ecolabel criteria and related assessment and verification requirements will be valid for four years from the date of its adoption. A transitional clause is established for EU Ecolabel licences awarded to soil improvers and growing media in accordance respectively with the criteria set out in Decision 2006/799/EC and Decision 2007/64/EC, which may be used for 12 months from the date of adoption of this Decision. 2

for indoor and outdoor paints and varnishes Amendment Decisions COMMISSION DECISION amending Commission Decision 2014/312/EU of 28 May 2014 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the EU Ecolabel for indoor and outdoor paints and varnishes Definitions (13) on VOC and (14) on SVOC in Article 2 are amended. The transitional period established in Article 7 for EU Ecolabel licenses awarded in accordance with the criteria set out in Decision 2009/543/EC or 2009/544/EC is changed to 21 months. Table 2 (Performance requirements for different kind of paints and varnishes) in criterion 3 on «Efficiency in use», criterion 3(a) on «Spreading rate», criterion 4 on «Content of Volatile and Semi-volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs, SVOCs)», criterion 5(a) on «Overall restrictions to hazard classifications and risk phrases» and entry for formaldehyde in point 7 (Residual substances that may be present in the final product) in the Appendix are amended. Corrigenda (On-Going) Corrigendum to the Italian Version of COMMISSION DECISION 2014/893/EU of 9 December 2014 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the EU Ecolabel for rinse-off cosmetic products DG TRANSLATION launched the ISC on the requested linguistic corrigendum on 12 June 2015 . 5

Corrigenda (On-Going) Corrigendum to the German Version of COMMISSION DECISION 2014/359/EU of 5 June 2014 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the EU Ecolabel for textile products 1st ISC finished on 2 February 2015. Legal Services proposed formal changes and DG TRANSLATION redrafted the whole text. 2nd phase of the ISC on a revised version finished on 5 June 2015. 6

WRITTEN VOTE PROCEDURES 2nd Semester 2015 WRITTEN VOTE PROCEDURES To be confirmed in respect of a COMMISSION DECISION amending four Commission Decisions establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the EU Ecolabel for several categories of detergents AMFEP (Association of Manufacturers and Formulators of Enzyme Products), a non-profit European industry association, whose members produce and sell enzymes for use in laundry and cleaning products (as well as food, feed and other non-food industries), requested the amendment of several set of detergents EU Ecolabel criteria, in order to specifically include a derogation for H411 (Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects) for the enzyme "Subtilisin", CAS 9014-01-1, previously classified and derogated for 4 PGs for H400 (Very toxic to aquatic life). It was referred that without this ingredient it is not possible for detergent products to meet EU Ecolabel criteria (e.g., detergents for dishwashers, laundry detergents, hand dishwashing detergents, apc and sanitary cleaners, i&i automatic dishwasher detergents and i&i laundry detergents). State of Play: COM is preparing the amendment, but only for the 4 PGs for which subtilisin was already derogated for H400 (Very toxic to aquatic life): detergents for dishwashers, laundry detergents, i&i automatic dishwasher detergents and i&i laundry detergents. 8

Personal, Notebook and Tablet Computers Updates (Criteria Revision) Displays Text of the final draft criteria (aligned with the current Energy Label and to the revised Ecodesign implementing measure for displays) will be presented at the April 2016 meeting. Vote by the Regulatory Committee will take place in November 2016. Personal, Notebook and Tablet Computers Energy Star version 6.1 is foreseen to be adopted by September 2015. Text of criterion 1(a) on "Total energy consumption of the computer", 1(c) on "Graphics capabilities" and 1(d) on "Internal Power Supplies" will not be changed but is pending on the adoption of Energy Star version 6.1. A written vote procedure is foreseen to be launched in October 2015. 9
