The Future Continuous is a verb form that is tipically used with ACTION verbs to say what will be happining at the certain point in the future. As always, continuous forms highlights the DURATION of the action.

The Future Continuous is a verb form that is tipically used with ACTION verbs to say what will be happining at the certain point in the future. As always, continuous forms highlights the DURATION of the action. I will be flying over the Pacific tomorrow at this time! Don’t call me between nine and ten. I’ll be having my psysiotherapy then. This time next week I will be on holiday. I will be lying on the beach or swimming in the sea!

They are arriving tonight. The Future Continuous is also used for planned actions, as an alternative to the PRESENT CONTINUOUS They are arriving tonight. They will be arriving tonight. I am not using the car today. I won’t be using the car today.

Will you be working next week? Questions with the future continuous are used to ask about other people’s plans in the polite way. What time will you be leaving tomorrow morning, Mr Smith? Will you be working next week?

The Future Perfect – I will have done

The Future Perfect is used to say that something will ALREADY be COMPLETE by the certain time in the future. It is often used with time expressions such as by five o’clock, by the time you arrive, in two weeks’ time, by Friday etc.

In two years’ time I will have become rich! The Future Perfect is used to say that something will ALREADY be COMPLETE by the certain time in the future. It is often used with time expressions such as by five o’clock, by the time you arrive, in two weeks’ time, by Friday etc. You will have learnt to speak Spanish fluently in two years’ time.
