Using CORAL as the ERM module What is CORAL (http://coral-erm.org/) CORAL is an electronic resource management system started in 2010 by the University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries. CORAL consists of 5 modules, Organizations, Resources, Licensing, Management and Statistics. The CORAL interface relies heavily on AJAX, JQuery and JQuery plugins Designed to be both simple and highly customizable and each module can be installed independently SCANBIT· 37th ADLUG ANNUAL MEETING. Pontificia Università della Santa Croce (Venice, September 12-14,2018) 7 7

Using CORAL as the ERM module Coral is ‘ILS agnostic’ Currently only Koha is implemented, but interactions with other ILSes could be added in the future (FOLIO, Sirsy Dynix…) Vendors can be synchronized, but any other integrations are ‘to-do’ Integration via API and web services http://docs.coral-erm.org/en/latest/integration.html SCANBIT· 37th ADLUG ANNUAL MEETING. Pontificia Università della Santa Croce (Venice, September 12-14,2018) 8 8

Using CORAL as the ERM module Why use CORAL as add-on for our ILS Most of the traditional ILS don’t have an ERM module It can be integrated with the Acquisitions module of the ILS (vendors, funds, subscriptions) It allows a real-time access control of the licensed resources from the OPAC/Discovery layer (VuFind) SCANBIT· 37th ADLUG ANNUAL MEETING.
