Revolar is designed to provide your designated contacts with: REVOLAR Defined Revolar is a discreet personal safety device equipped with a panic button. Revolar is designed to provide your designated contacts with: Your location Your status (safe, uncomfortable or in danger)

Cycle of Revolar Click the Revolar Button (Bluetooth must be enabled and your phone must have Wi-Fi/cellular connection) Contacts are Notified via Text and/or Email (assists as needed) Revolar Sends Safety Alert(s) and Location Updates REPEAT

(what to do if YOU receive an alert) Alert Types ALERT TYPES   CHECK-IN YELLOW RED How to Initiate Alert 1 single button press. 2 rapid button presses. 3­+ rapid button presses. Description Indicates that you have arrived to your destination safely. Indicates you may feel uncomfortable and would like to be contacted. Indicates there may be an emergency and you need immediate assistance. Special Features Sends your one-time location to designated contacts. Ring Me (automated call provides a reason for leaving uncomfortable situation). Sends live location until alert is canceled. Contacts will be notified via text and/or and they’ll be provided with your live location until the alert is canceled. Actions if Received (what to do if YOU receive an alert) Nothing (this is strictly for awareness). Grab a buddy and physically check on the individual. If off-site, immediately call the individual and assist as needed. Immediately call 9-1-1 and refer to the Emergency Action Plan.

Responsibilities Supervisors: Employees: Issue Revolar: Assist employee with setting up Provide Safety Device Acknowledgement form Email completed form to Risk/Safety Manager Order Replacement Batteries: Lasts 6 months – 1 year depending on usage Order batteries here! Communicate Revolar Information: Revolar Reference Sheet (use, functions, etc.) Revolar PowerPoint Discuss the use, functions and practice in staff meetings! Supervisors: Employees: Sign Safety Device Acknowledgement form Wear Revolar during work hours (includes on-call) Set up 3+ work contacts Notify supervisor if Revolar is damaged, lost, stolen and/or the batteries need to be replaced Replace battery when needed

Revolar Setup Follow on-screen instructions to setup/sync Revolar with phone Open Revolar App & Follow In-App Prompts to Setup Create 4 digit PIN code that you can remember (used to cancel alerts) When asked, which Revolar type select CLASSIC When pairing phone to Revolar, press & hold button for 12-15 seconds Add Contacts (up to five), Decide How to Wear Revolar and Check! Confirmation text/email will be sent to contacts (they’ll need to accept request) Revolar can be attached to a keychain, purse, etc. or clipped onto clothing Check Revolar app’s main screen for notifications (common issues are disabled Bluetooth, disabled GPS or airplane mode) Remove battery panel and pull plastic tab out of battery section. Click on Contact Icon (add up to 5 contacts). Adding Contacts Click on Contact Icon (add up to 5 contacts). This is where you’ll choose which alerts you want this specific contact to receive.

Practicing Alerts (Check-ins) Practice, Practice, Practice! Practice creates awareness, so frequently practice alerts and scenarios with each other! Go to Revolar App Navigate to Settings Click on Practice Alerts Click the Revolar button once (screen on right appears) Click next to test a yellow alert

Practicing Alerts (Yellow Alert) Click Revolar button twice rapidly The screen on the right should appear after successful practice of sending the Yellow Alert To test the Red Alert, you will need to first cancel the Yellow Alert. To cancel, input your 4 digit pin that was created during the Revolar setup process.

Ring Me ENABLED DISABLED Ring me is an automated call that can be enabled or disabled. The benefit of this call is that it provides you with a “fake” reason to leave an uncomfortable situation. You will enable or disable this feature under Settings and then, navigating to Ring Me in the Revolar App. ENABLED DISABLED

Practicing Alerts (Yellow Alert)- this information also applies to Red Alerts NOTE: You do NOT need to have the REVOLAR app on your phone to access the ink as a contact. The Yellow Alert sends a link to your contacts via email/text. Your contact can click on the link and view your current location. Movement is automatically updated and displayed Your contact has the option to change the map setting from MAP to Satellite Your contact has the option to call you or zoom-in and zoom-out on the map.

Practicing Alerts (Red Alert) Click the Revolar button three or more times as quickly as you can The screen on the right should appear after successful practice of sending the Red Alert To finish the practice alerts, you will need to cancel the Red Alert To cancel, input your 4 digit pin that was created during the Revolar setup process.

Customizing Alert Messages Select a type of alert to customize, such as Red Alert (screen above appears) Select the + sign, at the bottom-right corner. (screen on right appears) Type in your custom message Click Save You’ll notice that the Red alert has been updated to reflect the custom message. You can have up to 3 customized messages. To change the default message, select the message in your customize alert window depicted in figure 2 Go to Settings and Navigate to Custom Messages The screen above should appear, which displays the current default alert messages

Frequently Asked Questions Do my Contacts need a Revolar? No contacts do not need a Revolar, nor do they need to download the app. They just need to accept your contact request to receive alerts. Does REVOLAR Contact 9-1-1? Revolar does NOT call 911 or any other emergency service. 911 should NOT be listed as a Revolar contact. Can I Use my Phone to Send Alerts? Yes. Send alerts by tapping the hummingbird icon on main screen of app. 1 tap = Check-in 2 taps = Yellow Alert 3 taps = Red Alert What if I Forget my Revolar at Home? Will the App Work Without it? No, the Revolar device must be within Bluetooth range (30-50ft). Note: your phone will need WiFi connection or cellular service.
