SIMILE-Comparison of unlike things using like or as. He was as tall as a Sequoia.

Metaphor-Word for one thing used for another. He is a whale when he is in the ocean

Hyperbole- Exaggeration for effect not to be taken serious. It takes you so long to get your work done.

Alliteration-First three words with the same letter. Sally star sold sea shells at the sea shore.

Idiom-A set phrase with a special meaning. Your in a pickle.

Personification-Giving a inanimate object life like qualities. The sun was smiling why the kids were playing.
