Telling A Story

Telling a Story can be fun! CREATING the Story will be even better!

With your partner, use the Telling a Story guide to write your story.

Now that you have your story written, you will create a Google Slideshow to illustrate your story and make it come alive.

Before you begin, see if you can do these things: Change the color of this text? Change the font of this text? Draw a square on the next page. Add one picture of a tree?

Square? Tree?

Start by clicking File and then New and then Presentation. Did you get all of that? You are ready to being. Start by clicking File and then New and then Presentation.

Pick the layout that you need. Add new slides by clicking the plus button in the top left hand corner. Pick the layout that you need. If you need to add more text, click on insert text box. Add lots of pictures to tell your story.

Use the comments button to make suggestions for your friend. Now that your story is written, share it with one person in the class. You and your partner will each need to proofread the other person’s story. Use the comments button to make suggestions for your friend.

Share with a Partner Click Share in upper right hand corner. Type your partner’s email address. You must include @wbrschools. Click the pencil on the right hand side. Change “can edit” to “can comment” Click Done

Partner Proofread You will find the your partner’s editorial in your “Shared with me” in Google Drive Open the document As you see something that you think your partner should change, click comment in the upper right hand corner. Tell your friend what you think should be changed.
