Army-Community Heritage Partnerships Project is a cooperative effort between the Army and the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s (NTHP) National Main Street Center (NMSC) organization Goals Better serve Army family through enhanced shopping, products, and services offered in the adjacent historic commercial districts Encourage increased economic vitality in the adjacent historic commercial districts by understanding market opportunities afforded by the Army presence Create linkages and parallels between the community pair’s historic buildings and cultural heritage Investigate the potential for a heritage tourism strategy that will benefit community economic conditions and add value and opportunity for reuse of Army historic buildings
