Skeletal & Circulatory System Vocabulary Skeletal System Bone Marrow Circulatory System (Cardiovascular) Arteries Veins

1. Skeletal System Structure: all your 206 bones Function: 1.protects internal organs 2. Produces red blood cells 3. Gives you shape and support

2. Bone Marrow – the inner part of the bone that produces red blood cells

3. Circulatory System Structures: Heart Arteries Veins Function: 1. To circulate blood containing oxygen and nutrients to the whole body.

4. Arteries – the pathways that oxygen-rich blood move through away from the heart to the rest of the body.

5. Veins – the pathways that oxygen-poor blood move through from the rest of body back up to the heart.
