The beginning of the Journey
The life of the red blood cell begins at the bone marrow. There, in that place is where the red blood cell comes from and lives with its purpose. The red blood cell is made with specially hemoglobin so it can attract oxygen. Luckily, the red blood cell does not need nor use cellular respiration.

In through the blood After the blood cell comes out of the bone marrow, it makes its way to the blood and takes up most of the space. This blood makes its way through the vain capillaries, and at some point, gets to the arteries. Next, this new blood is ready to be filter by the heart. After, the heart is ready to send this over to the pulmonary circulation and lungs.

At the Lungs Now at the lungs and in the aveoli, the red blood cell has picked up all the oxygen it needs to carry, also experiencing what carbon dioxide is. The oxygenated blood will be sent back to the heart.

The End This isn’t exactly the end of this cell. This cell will keep working for the rest of its life and will help the body in many types of ways.
