Unit 3 Lesson 3: Simple verb tenses Page 110

Verb tenses The tense of the verb identifies when something occurs/has occurred. The present tense (now), past tense (recent past), and the future tense (will happen). Present: Franco cooks breakfast. Past: Yesterday he cooked breakfast. Future: Tomorrow Franco will cook breakfast.

Please look at the rules for forming verb tenses on page 107 Now try “Try it out” exercises 1-16 in your notes, please.

Great. Remember: The tense of a verb tells you when the action or the state of being occurs. Use the present tense to show something happening now. Use the past tense to show something that has already happened. Use the future tense to show something that will happen later.

Please do 17-28, page 109 in your notes These will be due before our next Grammar period. It is your responsibility to finish them beforehand.
