1 Unit4: Present Perfect Tense
Perfect Present Tense Irregular verbs Actions that have already occurred Actions that haven’t occurred yet

2 Perfect Tense The Continuous Tense describes an action in progress
Example: “I was/am/will be cooking lunch.” The Perfect Tense is the opposite The Perfect Tense describes an action that has been completed Example: “I have cooked lunch.”

3 Perfect Present Tense The Perfect Tense can be Past, Present, or Future The Perfect Present Tense describes an action completed in the past, from the present (NOW) time. Example: “I have cooked lunch.” Sentence Structure: Pronoun + Auxiliary Verb + Past Participle Verb I + have + eaten steak. He + has + played football.

Let’s warm-up by practicing sentences Change the verb from the simple present, to the present perfect tense

A. begins with a question in present perfect tense B. replies with an answer in the simple past tense

Now, we’re using the same A + B format, but using different pronouns I, we, you, they = have He, she, it = has

8 He’s Already Gone Bowling This Week
Now, we are also using: The simple present tense Abbreviations

9 Review: Has Timmy Gone to Bed Yet?
Now, we aren’t given the past participles We must change the verb to the past participle We must use either HAVE or HAS We must abbreviate have/has in the negative Let’s try and NOT use the book for help!!! 
