COLLECTED MATERIAL NEEDED AT THE COLLECTION CENTRE IN DELHI LOADED IN A TRUCK WHICH WAS DISPATCHED ONCE A WEEK SET UP A CAMP IN DIFFERENT VILLAGES FOR DISRTIBUTION IDENTIFIED PEOPLE/FAMILIES AND DISTRIBUTED THE IDENTIFIED GOODS NEED ASSESSMENT BY IDENTIFYING A VILLAGE, GOING THERE AND ASKING VICTIMS WHAT THEY NEEDED RELIEF CAMP PROCEDURE AT UTTARAKHAND

WORK DONE IN UTTRAKHAND The following goods were distributed: Blankets and mattress Clothes and Shoes Food ration School uniforms, bags, stationary Tarpaulins (Tents) Utensils - Stoves and Cooking Fuel Water purifier/Water filters, Water storage facilities Medicines Nutrition supplements - Torch/solar lamps/LED, lamps, batteries Burrowing Tools (shovels/spades)

CURRENT SITUATION IN UTTARAKHAND The devastation in Uttarakhand on account of recent floods is of an unimaginable scale. 130,000 people are missing, stranded or have been rendered homeless. There is widespread destruction across the region in Uttarakhand.

NEED OF THE HOUR Since the rescue operations are over we need to work towards not only rehabilitating all those who have lost their homes but also promise them a better and brighter future!!!
