IMPACT ON CANADA’S POPULATION 1.PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Acadians deported between 1754 and 1763 Why? The British felt they wouldn’t be loyal AND they possessed good farm land

II. ROYAL PROCLAMATION (1763) CREATED THE RESERVE SYSTEM FRENCH CULTURE WAS NEGATIVELY IMPACTED ENGLISH SCHOOLS WERE CREATED 2. ENGLISH CHURCHES INTRODUCED 3. FRENCH NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE A NEW BISHOP 4. NO NEW FRENCH IMMIGRATION ALLOWED
