The process by which people deal with grief and tragedy. Kubler-Ross Model The process by which people deal with grief and tragedy.

“No, not me.” This is a healthy stage. Denial “No, not me.” This is a healthy stage.

Anger or Resentment “Why me?” Blame, directed against the doctor, nurses and God often is a part of this stage.

“Yes me, but-” “If you’ll just give me five years, God, I’ll…” Bargaining “Yes me, but-” “If you’ll just give me five years, God, I’ll…” A temporary truce.

“Yes, me,” with the courage to admit that it is happening. Depression “Yes, me,” with the courage to admit that it is happening.
