KS Regents Admission Requirements K State Wichita State Emporia State Fort Hays State Pittsburg State Admission to 5 of the Board of Regents Schools Complete the Qualified Admissions or Kansas Scholars Curriculum (PPG Page 6) with a 2.0 GPA. (A 2.0 or high on any college credits earned during high school is also required.) MATH: Must be through Algebra II (Applied Math Courses are not Kansas Board of Regents approved) SCIENCE: Chemistry OR Physics AND 1 of the following ACT score of 21+ or SAT score of 980+ or Graduate in the top one-third of your class AND 22+ on the math portion of the ACT OR Take 4 years of Math

KU Admission Requirements Complete the Qualified Admissions or Kansas Scholars Curriculum (PPG Page 6) with a 2.0 GPA. AND 3.0 + overall GPA and 24+ ACT (1090+ SAT) OR 3.25 + overall GPA and 21+ ACT (980+ SAT) A 2.0 or higher on any college credits earned during high school is also required.

Summer Government (Class of 2020) Applications will be available in the counseling office after Spring Break of your Junior year Suggest that you receive a “C” or better in your current U.S. History Class. Expected to dedicate, at least, 2 hrs. a day. Must attend an enrollment meeting and an on-site final. $200 fee to take the course

Special Courses Student Assistant (11th & 12th graders can be aides) Please pick up application from the teacher Students can only have one aide position per semester. Pass/Fail grade Individual Focus Credit Tryout Classes Any course, on the grade-level enrollment form, that has a star next to it is a try-out class You can’t enroll in the course during the pre-enrollment period Must get an application and apply (pick up application from teacher of that class/activity) Please indicate, on the back of the grade-level enrollment forms, which class you would like to drop if you are selected for the try-out class Classroom Peer Mentor (10th, 11th & 12th graders can be peer mentors) Applied Communications/Individual Focus Credit Receive letter grade Application only Pick up application from Mrs. Peters in the counseling office

Enrollment Timeline January 17th enrollment information will be delivered during Advisory Students will enroll at home with parents through StudentVUE – January 18th – January 23rd (http://studentvue.olatheschools.com) Online Enrollment due on January 24th Grade-Level paper enrollment forms due to Advisory Teacher on January 24th Counselors are available to answer questions during Falcon 50, in the Writing Lab, on January 22nd & 23rd

YOUR CURRENT TEACHER WILL NOTIFY MRS. MCKINNEY THAT A CHANGE SHOULD BE MADE.

REMINDER It is USD 233 School Board Policy for all students to enroll in a full 7-hour school day. ALL students are required to enroll in 7 credits (14 classes) and 2 alternate credits (4 classes) regardless of participation in OATC, CNA, Shortened Day, Early Graduation, 21st Century Internships, etc. Changes to accommodate these programs will be made after the pre-enrollment process.

Schedule Change Policy Student selections during pre-enrollment are used to create the master schedule.  Students will not qualify for a schedule change, for the 2019-2020 school year, if their schedule reflects courses that were requested during the pre-enrollment process (that is now).  If a student is placed in a class that he/she did not choose during pre-enrollment, they can set up an appointment with their counselor at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.
