DCTAG DCTAG PROGRAM Program (DCTAG) was enacted because The D. C. Tuition Assistance Grant Program (DCTAG) was enacted because DC Residents do not have access to a state higher educational university system.

DCTAG CHANGES in 2017-2018 The age Limit has been increased to 26 yrs of age. There is no longer an award difference between two year and four institutions. The maximum award for all public institutions is up to $10,000 per year. The DCTAG Clock does not start until the first year of funding with a six year overall limit.

DCTAG Rules To Remember Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as determined by your college/university. The DCTAG Office cannot overrule a SAP determination made by a college/university.

DC ONEAPP APPLICATION Very few Study-Abroad Programs are eligible, as there must be both an in- state and out-of-state tuition charge. The tuition must be paid at the home college/university and they must be considered as being enrolled at the home college/university.

DCTAG Rules To Remember While continuing (2015-16) DCTAG students have an income limitation of $1,036,320 million, new DCTAG Students (2016-17) have an income limitation of $777,240!

What DCTAG Does Not/Is Not Any student who is charged as an in-state resident will not be DCTAG eligible. All DCTAG Students must be charged out-of- state tuition. DCTAG does not cover room & board, books & supplies, etc! DCTAG is not front-end money!

DCTAG Payment Process The DCTAG Award Letter should be submitted to the financial aid office at the college/university. The college/university (Financial Aid Office) must submit an electronic payment invoice. Once that invoice has been received by the DCTAG Office, a check is sent to the college/university within 30 business days or less. If the college of university submits the payment invoice late, the check will be late!

DCTAG Payment Process Per the Program Participation Agreement (PPA) which was signed by your college/ university president, schools may not charge late fees because the DCTAG check is late.

NEVER FORGET The DCTAG Office does NOT have a mind reader on staff!! If a student is not attending the university listed on their OneApp, they MUST let us know! If they don’t they will not receive funding!

Thank you for attending this DCTAG Boot Camp.
