“ACT SAFE” Accident don’t just happen, they are caused…. Propose by Musmulyadi Bin Hashim OSH PROJECT ROPASAL

Main Objectives To improve the safety conditions of workers in petroleum and chemical industry. To strengthen the trade union movement in OSH. By 2020, Malaysia will be a developed nation with great human capital value.

Time Frame This program should be implemented within one year. It will be divided into three phases:- The first phases is the introduction ( 2 month ) The second phases is the implementation ( 8 month ) The third phases is the evaluation ( 2 month )

Target Group and Parties Involved Target Participants in this project is: Trade Union leader in all branches Trade Union officer (IRO) All union members Parties will be involved in this program is: MTUC OSH bureau Social Security Organization (SOCSO) Department of Safety and Health

Activities First Phase Second Phase Awareness campaigns and promotion of this program. Establish an OSH committee in branches. Develop IEC materials such as posters, flyers and stickers to be distributed in branches. Second Phase Educational programmes to all union members at the local level such as campaigns, seminars and workshops. Integrate a programme to look into the macro point of view of the condition of the safety of the workers.

Activities (continued…) Third Phase All branches must complete the evaluation form. Award Scheme to motivate more employees.
