Multiplying and Dividing Decimals by 10, 100, and 1,000 On page

The Basics of Multiplying: When you multiply by 10, 100, or 1,000, you can move the decimal point to the right. The number of decimal places you move is the same as the number of zeroes you are multiplying by.

Ex 1) 1.492 x 100 Move the decimal to the right: two spaces. 149.2
