Your PBS system is best described as intervention strategies put into place for preventing problem behaviors by achieving important social and learning competency.

Surveys are completed by staff members identifying problematic behaviors in your school. The PBS team shares the results with you, and develops a positive plan for you to implement to reduce the problem behaviors.

Go to them and ask for assistance in developing YOUR classroom expectations. Ask them for support if something isnt working for YOU. them for suggestions. Look for their meeting notes and tips to be ed to YOU

Three of the targeted problematic behaviors you identified were: A) Tardy students B) Dress Code violators C) Inconsistency between classroom rules

The plan developed by your PBS team is to: A) Help teachers develop their classroom rules based on Universal Expectations B) Develop and communicate expectations to help students get to class on time. C) Help and support dress code expectations with students

A) During Pre-school develop your classroom rules and POST them based on expectations B) Help students get into classes and use hallway passes as a standard everyday! Make yourself visible along with our administrators to help students get into class! C) Verbally praise students for proper dress code D) Remind students of the upcoming reward parties for compliance with the expectations.

A) Participation in special reward parties at designated times this year B) Verbal praise from their teachers, administrators and peers C) Recognition of CCTV and announcements D) Recognition on our school website E) Special monetary incentives e.g. Passes to the front of the lunch line, free snacks, etc.

Everyone WANTS to work at a PBS school…but this is a TEAM SPORT. Everyone has to participate and support the program for it to work! The outcome WILL be students who are socially and academically ready for their life challenges!
