Quitting can take multiple tries….. 70% smokers want to quit Can take 8-12 tries before quit for good

7 FDA approved medications to help you…….

Quitting benefits

FINALLY QUIT……NOW WHAT?? Pat yourself on the back-big time! Millions of people failed, but you succeeded You are a conqueror and an achiever! CONGRATS!!!

Don’t replace one bad habit with another…. Dipping tobacco is equally bad. The incidence of mouth, throat and jaw cancer from chewing tobacco is astronomical.

Eat Healthy….. Weight gain is an excuse that some smokers give for continuing to smoke. So, congrats! You’re being more careful about what you are inhaling into your body. Now, keep it up by taking care about what you eat.

Get rid of the stench… You don’t want any reminders of the smoking experience. So, spend a little cash and get that nasty stink out of your drapes, carpet and clothes. You’re not a tobacco addict any longer – and you don’t want to smell like one!

Get some exercise Choose a daily activity that has you breathing hard for 20 minutes. No need to become a weight-lifter or marathon runner. Just get back into shape. You may feel so good that you’ll start looking into something more adventuresome.

Avoid places where other people smoke You may find yourself casually leaning into the smoke coming from a total stranger’s Marlboro ... closing your eyes blissfully as you inhale those familiar, deadly fumes. Give your business to restaurants that don’t allow smoking

Get ready for unexpected…… Within weeks, food is going to taste better. Your taste buds will take a little while to recover, but when they do - Mercy! Who'd have ever thought that fresh strawberries taste so delightful!

Looking good! You are darn good looking! You look five years younger than all your friends who are still puffing away! You’re happier! You’ve got better stamina!

Pass it on…….. The world is filled with people who are trapped by tobacco. When you hear that a friend is quitting, encourage them! Tell them what tricks you pulled on yourself to kick the habit.

Good luck….. FELIX KARTHIK
