Mesa Boys Soccer 2018/2019

2017-18 Coaches Robert Bokma (All levels) Tamara Dewey (Varsity) Nathaniel Nyema (JV) Jorge Casas (JVR)

Program Development Plan Reserves – Freshman and Sophomores, no Juniors or Seniors JV – Team to have players ready to jump to Varsity Varsity – Top Team players (no freshman unless they are full time starters)

Expectations of The Players Respect With words and actions towards teammates, coaches, referees, other players, etc. Timeliness is a form of respect. Consistently being late to practices, team events, and games may affect playing time. Team Player The program is bigger than the individual. Well Disciplined On and off the field. Each athlete’s behavior is a representation of the program as a whole. Being proactive to take care of any potential problems is key! Playing Time If you miss the practice before a game (for whatever reason) you will not start that game. Habitual tardiness or lack of showing up to practices will result in less playing time. Grades We believe in STUDENT athletes. Each athlete must take care of business in the classroom. If they do not they can become academically ineligible and may lose their position on the team. 6 week grade checks come FAST. Ask for help early if needed.

Expectations of The Parents To cheer on and support our program and the hard work that the boy’s put in all season long! 24 Hour Rule: Allow 24 hours to pass after a game until talking to your player about what took place. If an athlete wants to talk they will bring it up. Volunteer is possible We love parent volunteers!! Videotaping games Team Dinners Banquets Team Bonding Days (footgolf, laser tag, movie night, etc.) Scoreboard (JV and Varsity Games)
