What is a verb? A doing word An action

A verb is a DOING word Some examples Running Dancing Fighting Laughing

Group the following verbs: seeing eat ate see eating eaten saw sees seen eats These are called INFINITIVE verbs To eat To see

What is an INFINITIVE verb? The dictionary version The ‘title’ of the verb It means ‘TO DO’ something.

Some examples: These are the Spanish INFINITIVES as found in the dictionary: To scream gritar To fight pelear To drink beber To hear oir To cry llorar To kiss besar To suffer sufrir To open abrir To sleep dormir To write escribir To bite morder To punish castigar
